If there’s one room in the house where you should be brave with paint, it’s the butler’s pantry.

Here’s why: it’s small, it’s enclosed, and it’s a room you pass through rather than live in. That combination makes it the perfect jewel box. A color that would overwhelm your kitchen becomes the most charming moment in the house when it’s wrapped around a pantry’s cabinets and shelves.
